The role
Rutledge Recruitment and Training is seeking a Catering Manager for a permanent position at a primary school in Omagh. You will be responsible for leading the kitchen team and overseeing the preparation and service of all school meals, including the breakfast club and lunchtime provision.
Your duties will include
Preparing meals and planning menus, ensuring all special dietary requirements are met.
Organising the breakfast club and lunchtime food service schedules.
Supervising catering assistants and lunchtime supervisors.
Allocating daily duties, arranging staff rotas, and supporting staff training.
Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining budgets and financial records.
Maintaining strict food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards.
Working closely with the school to promote the catering service.

What you will bring.
- 01NVQ Level 2 in food preparation and cooking, City and Guilds 706-1 and 706-2, an equivalent or higher relevant qualification, or two years of food preparation and cooking experience in a catering establishment
- 02Proven experience supervising or managing a catering team
- 03Knowledge of HACCP and special dietary requirements, including allergens
- 04Strong organisation, communication, and people management skills
