    Whistleblowing Policy

Rutledge encourages workers, candidates and learners to raise genuine concerns about wrongdoing. This policy explains how to do so and the protections available under the Public Interest Disclosure (Northern Ireland) Order 1998.

DraftThis statement is published as a working draft pending review by the Rutledge compliance team. For the most current signed copy, please contact info@rutledgegroup.co.uk.

    What This Policy Covers

Concerns may include criminal activity, breach of legal or regulatory obligation, miscarriages of justice, danger to health and safety, damage to the environment, safeguarding failures, fraud, bribery, or deliberate concealment of any of these.

    How to Raise a Concern

Wherever possible raise the concern with your Rutledge team or branch manager. If that is not appropriate, contact the Compliance Lead by emailing info@rutledgegroup.co.uk or writing to: Compliance Lead, Rutledge House, 25-27 New Row, Coleraine, BT52 1AD.

    Confidentiality

All concerns will be treated in confidence. Anonymous concerns will be considered but are harder to investigate. We will not tolerate any harassment or victimisation of someone raising a genuine concern.

    External Disclosure

If you feel unable to raise the matter internally, you can report to a "prescribed person", for example the Health and Safety Executive for NI, RQIA or HMRC. Independent advice is available from Protect.

    Investigation

Concerns will be acknowledged within 5 working days and investigated proportionately. You will be kept informed of progress so far as is lawful and appropriate.
