Warehouse & Counter Sales Operative - Magherafelt.

Rutledge Recruitment is currently seeking a Warehouse & Counter Sales Operative to join a busy trade counter and warehouse environment based in the Magherafelt town area.

Role Overview
As a Warehouse & Counter Sales Operative, you will provide support to the main stores sales manager, assisting with customer orders, counter sales and the management of stock in and out. This is a hands-on role combining customer service, sales and warehouse duties, making it ideal for someone with previous trade counter, sales or plumbing industry experience.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday
8:00am–4:00pm
Full-time hours

Pay Rate
£15.50 per hour

Duties Include
Greeting customers and providing excellent customer service
Assisting customers with product selection and purchasing decisions
Providing product information and preparing sales quotations
Upselling additional products and services where appropriate
Processing sales transactions, returns and exchanges
Managing and maintaining stock within the warehouse and stores area
Picking and preparing customer orders
Restocking shelves and maintaining accurate stock levels
Transferring pipes, fittings and hoses within the warehouse as required
Loading and unloading deliveries
Operating a forklift truck where trained and authorised
Making up hose assemblies as required
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe counter and warehouse area
Working closely with the stores and sales team to ensure customer orders are completed efficiently

Important Information
Successful applicants will be paid through agency payroll
This is initially a temporary position with the potential for permanent employment following a successful review period and subject to business requirements.
A forklift licence is not essential, as forklift cover is available on site; however, previous forklift experience or a licence would be advantageous.
