The role
Our team at Rutledge Recruitment is assisting a well-established organisation based in Derry to appoint a Group Accountant. In this role, you will work closely with the Financial Controller and report directly to the Directors, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting across the Group.
What you will be doing
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts
- Maintain, audit and improve financial records and procedures
- Review accounting systems and internal controls
- Produce financial forecasts and support strategic planning
- Reconcile bank accounts, VAT and statutory returns
- Manage debtor, creditor and bad-debt controls
- Supervise and monitor the payroll function
- Support company acquisitions and the property portfolio of the organisation

What you will bring.
- 01Full ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualification
- 02At least three years’ post-qualification experience
- 03Commercial or industrial accounting experience
- 04Experience preparing statutory accounts and meeting reporting deadlines
- 05Strong knowledge of accounting ledger systems and spreadsheets
- 06Excellent accuracy, organisation and presentation skills
