General Operative
Location: Crossmaglen, Co. Armagh
Pay: £13.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Rutledge Recruitment are currently recruiting for General Operatives on behalf of our client, to join their busy operation in Crossmaglen.
This is a varied, hands-on role working across the company’s three divisions, including skips, materials recovery, recycled aggregates and biomass production.
The Role
Your duties will include
- Sorting recyclable materials at a material picking station
- Baling plastic and cardboard
- Carrying out general yard duties
- Ensuring the correct segregation of waste streams
- Encouraging recycling within your area of work
- Keeping the yard and materials recovery facility clean and tidy
- Working as part of a team to achieve shift goals
- Following all Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Taking direction from supervisors and managers
- Completing any training required for the role
- Supporting with general yard and facility activities as required
About You
We’re looking for someone who has
- A positive, reliable can-do attitude
- Good attention to detail
- A good level of Health & Safety knowledge and awareness
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- The ability to take direction and follow procedures
- A flexible approach to work, including occasional Saturday/weekend work
- A willingness to learn and undertake any training required
