Children's Care, Learning, Development (CCLD) Courses
The Level 2 Award in ERR (Children and Young People Settings) is aimed at those working in a wide range of settings in the health, social care or children and young people’s sector.
To achieve this qualification the learner must complete one single mandatory unit:
- Understand employment responsibilities and rights in health, social care or children and young people’s settings
Privately this course would cost £800 + VAT

For learners who work with babies and young children in a wide range of early years settings including full daycare, sessional, childminding and out of school clubs for example in the roles of: Early Years Assistant, Nursery Nurse, Family Support Worker or Playgroup Assistant.
To give you an understanding of what you will be learning on this course, topics and module units include:
- Context, principles and values that underpin practice
- Communication and partnership working
- Safeguarding children
- Keeping children safe healthy and well
- Support children’s personal care and nutrition
- Supporting children’s development
- Supporting children’s play, learning and development
- Contribute to the support of children with disabilities and/or special needs

The Level 3 is aimed at those people already working in the Children and Young People sector. For example, you may be working as a childminder, day care supervisor or Nursery Nurse.

- Promotion of communication in health, social care or children’s and young people’s settings
- Equality and inclusion in health, social care or children’s and young people’s settings

Managers and Assistant Managers who work with children and early years (and their families) in settings or services whose main purpose is children’s care, learning and development including: Crèche, Out of school settings and Day Nurseries.
To qualify learners must complete 12 Mandatory Units, and choose a selection of Optional Units that may compliment their career pathway.
To give you an understanding of what you will be learning on this course, topics and module units include:
- Support children’s care, learning and development in the early years
- Understand children and young person’s development
- Lead practice that support positive outcomes for child and young person development
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to support the safeguarding of children and young people
- Professional practice in children’s care learning and development
Privately this course would cost £1,400 ADDITIONAL UNITS £420 + VAT

There are no entry requirements for this qualification; except learners must be aged 18+.
It is designed for learners who wish to gain an assessors qualification and will equip learners with the knowledge and skills to work effectively in assessing competence.
This course is made up of 3 mandatory units, including:
- Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
- Assess occupational competence in the work environment
- Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding

There are no entry requirements for this qualification; except learners must be aged 18+.
It is designed for learners who wish to gain an assessors qualification and will equip learners with the knowledge and skills to work effectively in assessing competence.
This course is made up of 3 mandatory units, including:
- Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment
- Internally assure the quality of assessment
- Plan, allocate and monitor work in own area of responsibility
