Food & Drink Production
Apprenticeship Frameworks are set by The Department for the Economy (DfE) in conjunction with the Sector Skills Council in each Professional and Technical Area.
The qualifications in Food and Drink have been designed specifically for those working in a range of roles within the Food and Drink Industry. The Level 2 Certificate for Proficiency in food industry skills is designed primarily for learners who wish to develop intermediate occupational skills and knowledge in a wide range of automated or semi-automated food processing techniques, or food service/retail skills to confirm occupational competence in specific job roles.
Important areas to consider:
- In order to secure the Apprenticeship Certificate, you will have a range of Qualifications to achieve alongside that of the Professional and Technical Area of Food and Drink. These include Essential Skills in Numeracy, Literacy and Information Computer Technology (ICT) and Employment Rights and Responsibilities. (ERR)
- All parts of the Apprenticeship frameworks are mandatory and must be completed in full
- Please Note: If the learner has a GCSE (or equivalent) at Grades A-C in Maths, English or ICT they are exempt from Essential Skills in that area on producing the Certificate
- Essential Skills is Mandatory for all Learners unless you have an exemption i.e. GCSE A-C in Maths English and ICT
The list below states the Qualifications you will need to achieve in order to secure your Certificate.
Please note the Certificate for Proficiency in Food Industry Skills has both Mandatory and Optional Units. These Units are all assigned Credit Values. In order to achieve a full Qualification, you need to achieve the stated Total Credit Value.
Please Note: There is some flexibility to choose units which meet Business and Learner needs.

Payment option 1: If you pay in full on enrolment you will be entitled to a 5% discount.
Payment option 2: Pay a 30% deposit and then 10 monthly direct debit payments.
