LEVEL 2 DIPLOMA IN INSTRUCTING EXERCISE & FITNESS
This course is for those who want a career in the fitness and exercise sector, for example working as a gym or fitness instructor. It can be used as a step towards more advanced qualifications.
This course is designed as an entry level qualification for those who want a career in the fitness industry and to enable those who are starting out in the sector to demonstrate their competence.
The course covers the principles of exercise and how to prepare, instruct and supervise exercise in gym settings.
Privately this course would cost £800 + VAT

LEVEL 2 AWARD IN EMPLOYMENT AWARENESS IN ACTIVE LEISURE & LEARNING
This course provides a basic introduction to the sport and leisure sector and enabling learners to undertake work experience to develop their competencies. It can be used as a stepping stone to more advanced courses.
This course is designed for those who are already working in the leisure or sport industry or who would like to start work in the sector.
Learners will develop their core competencies in relation to employment rights and responsibilities and understanding the sector in general. They can then develop their learning within a specified area such as coaching, teaching and instructing, playwork, activity leadership or spectator safety.

LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN PERSONAL TRAINING
This course is designed for those wishing to demonstrate their competency in providing personal training and who may want to join the Register of Exercise Professionals.
This course is aimed at those already working in the fitness and exercise sector who want to demonstrate their competency with a recognised qualification or further their knowledge and skills to become more advanced instructors and trainers. It can also be a stepping stone for those wanting to become supervisors or managers in sport/leisure facilities.
Candidates will learn core competencies including anatomy and physiology for exercise and health, designing personal training programmes with clients and evaluating exercise and physical activity programmes.

This course is designed for those who are already working, or would like to work, in the leisure and sport sectors. It provides a basic awareness of the industry and can contribute to an apprenticeship in the sector.
This course is an introductory course to provide a recognised qualification giving background knowledge for roles such as instructing health and fitness or sports, managing or working in a leisure centre, horse riding centre, holiday centre or play location.
Learners will be provided a basic awareness of the active leisure sector, employment law and job roles.
