Vacancy: Essential Skills Tutor (RJ/979/ES)

Base:  Downpatrick

Contract: Part-Time/ Permanent

Hours: 7.5 per week

The Essential Mix

  • GCSE/Level 2 Maths and English (Grade A*- C)
  • Full Driving License and Access to Transport for business use
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • An enthusiastic and driven character with the ability to communicate on all levels
  • Desire to live and breathe company core values
  • Recognised Teaching Qualification
  • OR Achievement of the Certificate in Teaching (Yr 1 of the PGCE) within one year  PLUS A Degree in Numeracy

 

*Existing Essential Skills Tutors recognised as qualified by the Department prior to 1st August 2012 and currently in employment will retain this recognition.

The Desirable:

  • Relevant Assessing Qualification (A1, D32/3, TAQA)
  • Experience of Assessing candidates
  • Knowledge of government funded employment and training programmes
