Dylan decided to take a year out after leaving school in 2013 but found that he soon got bored of no daily routine and began looking for a course that would boost his chances of finding employment.

Our Rutledge Success Stories series continues this week with Jessica Davidson; a trainee from our Bangor branch. Jessica enrolled with Rutledge in 2014 at the age of 16, shortly after leaving school. After attending the Rutledge Training for Success (Tfs) open day Jessica decided to enrol for the level 2 Childcare course.

This month’s success story focuses on Derry women Aoife Stewart; and her progression through the YES programme and apprenticeship programme at Rutledge; to fulfill her ambition of full time employment in the hairdressing industry. Aoife has always had an interest in the field of Hairdressing and had worked temporarily at a local hair salon at the weekends; however opportunities at the salon became limited due to Aoife’s lack of hairdressing qualifications.
