Testimonials

I currently offer work placements for Training for Success trainees as well as being a student with Rutledge myself, I am currently working towards my QCF level 5 in Children's Care Learning & Development. I have built up good working relationships with Rutledge and happily provide work placements for trainees to enable them to gain experience and complete their qualifications. I have also enrolled members of my staff to complete their training with Rutledge. I cannot recommend Rutledge highly enough for the standard of work and effort they put into all trainees education as well as assistance with their career progression.

I initially joined Rutledge, Cookstown as a Training for Success Joiner in 2012. With the help of my mentor I gained a placement with Mid-Ulster Reproductions in Cookstown. As I excelled in the placement my mentor discussed the ApprenticeshipsNI programme with my placement provider, who offered me employment. I am now employed with my placement provider and achieved my level 2 qualification through the ApprenticeshipsNI Programme. During this time I also achieved my Essential Skills Numeracy. I feel this was the right route for my progression and would recommend the Training for Success Programme to anyone wanting to gain full-time employment and the skills required for work.

I attended monthly classes with Rutledge which I thoroughly enjoyed as it gave me a chance to catch up with my course tutor and to go over any difficulties which I was having. It also provided me with the opportunity to speak to other candidates and to find out how they were getting on as well as exchange information and ideas.

I have been studying Childcare in Rutledge and I’m really enjoying my course! So far I’ve been learning about different types of abuse, communicating with children and young people and health and safety within a Childcare setting. I’m currently working part-time as a children’s entertainer. My tutors are really helpful and supportive.

I achieved a Level 2 Customer Service Qualification. I started Rutledge after being out of education for 30 years. The course gave me the confidence to write my own customer service training programme for my employer, and my boss was so pleased with this he promoted me to Training Manager. The experience of completing this course reignited my passion for Retail and Customer Service. I thank Rutledge for giving me the confidence and the opportunity to further my career.

I started the TfS programme with Rutledge last September, I am doing IT Users. The staff helped me secure a placement very quickly with Strabane District Council in the technical department. I love this placement and it is very challenging, as I deal with the general public. I am glad that I came to Rutledge and I hope to get full time work when I complete my course.
